Are there any examples of successful work that has been done to narrow the education gap, for any target group, via early years settings? We are about to undertake some OBA sessions and wonder what others have done.

Hi Mark - apologies as I missed this request.
We have been looking at how to use OBA in narrowing the gap strategies. Jenny Spratt at Peterborough Council has used this approach and I have some slides which she may be happy to share.
I don't where you are from as I may be able to put you in touch with other LAs who are using or thinkg of using OBA.
Finally have you contacted C4EO who have early years sector specialists who can support LAs if their DCSs make a specific request - hurry on this as they are only available till end of March 2010!
