I am Commissioning & Procurement Strategic Manager for the Royal Borough of Kingston’s Children’s Services which received an outstanding status in both 2007 and 2008 Annual Performance Assessments.
I joined Kingston in 2001 as Contracts Manager with the responsibility of managing large procurement and contracts and providing training and advice to the education authority and schools. Following the integration of children’s services in 2006 I took on a strategic role in leading commissioning for Kingston’s Children’s Trust and chair Kingston’s Joint Commissioning Unit. After publishing Kingston’s Joint Commissioning Framework in 2008, I am now leading on strategic commissioning priorities to continue to deliver better outcomes with limited resources, including working within a project to develop Commissioning across the council as a whole (and its wider partners).
Prior to joining Kingston, I worked at Unilever (looking after large contracts manufacturing projects) and Crown Agents for Overseas Governments and Administrations (managing procurement for aid projects in Pakistan and Bangladesh.)
