Tim is Director of Practical Participation, an independent consultancy and research organisation with a focus on youth engagement and the use of technology in youth services, youth work and youth participation.
Tim blogs at http://www.timdavies.org.uk and is the convenor of a number of online communities, including Youth Work Online and Networked Participation
Tim is currently working on a project to help young people in Bradford influence the commissioning of a new Connexions service through online and face-to-face participation, and a project to capture shared learning from the Substance Views project to build a monitoring and evaluation platform for Outcomes Based Commissioning.
In the past Tim has, amongst other things, developed Management Information Systems for the YouthBank network, and has written on Youth Work and Social Networking and Positive Youth Development.
From October 2009 Tim is also a full time MSc Student at the Oxford Internet Institute studying the Social Science of the Internet.
