An Introduction to the Commissioning Development Programme aims to provide an overview of the Commissioning Development Programme materials and to help organisations make best use of them locally.

These one-day events are explictly aimed at those who will deliver local training and development programmes using the training materials developed by the Commissioning Support Programme. The learning sessions will give you the confidence to use the Commissioning Development Programme materials effectively with a wide range of stakeholders to meet your local training needs.

Summary of Content

This one-day learning programme has been designed to enable local facilitators make best use of the training materials. You will consider your local training needs, familiarise yourself with the materials and network with other facilitators to find ways of making the programme work for you.

The programme will provide opportunities for you to experience delivery of some of the material, discuss most appropriate ways to deliver the materials and allow time to reflect on issues and solutions for delivery.
