About the Resource Bank
The resource bank contains a wide range of resources related to
commissioning and children’s services. All documents are quality
assured by researchers who specialise in children's services. It
contains useful tools for anybody interested in, or working in,
this area. We are continually updating the website and building up
a bank of existing resources for you to use.
Included in the resource bank is the essential reading list. It includes some key
readings for anybody interested in children’s services
commissioning. The essential reading list has been developed in
conjunction with the
expert resource group. These experts have specialist knowledge
about children’s services and commissioning and they work together
to agree upon the key resources that will be useful to anybody with
an interest in this area.
We are also developing a commissioning support e-book which is a
resource being written by people who are actively involved in
commissioning and want to share their knowledge and experience.

Upload documents to the site
Anybody registered
to use this site can upload documents to the community section
using the information
exchange. This allows members working in
children’s services commissioning to share documents with one
other, including:
- examples of good practice
- case studies
- toolkits
- events and conference information
- local policy documents and delivery plans.
All registered users can ‘rate’ documents that
have been uploaded to the community area of the site. They can
score resources on a scale of one to five, with five being the
highest score for the most useful resources. When resources receive
several high ratings, they will move to the Resource Bank section
of the website so they are available for anybody to download and
view.
You can use this discussion forum to rate and comment on
documents in the Resource Bank as well as suggest documents to put
in there. To do so, post a discussion up with the name of the
document and you can proceed to rate and comment on it. We
will review all feedback from this forum and reconsider whether
documents should stay or be taken out of the Resource Bank.
